M.] 2005:33, Figs. 2-3 [Zootaxa No. 1096; ref. 28572] Río Vipos, 26°28'S, 65°20"W, 5 kilometers from Ruta Nacional 9, Departo Trancas, Upper Río Salí basin, Province of Tucumán, northwestern Argentina. Holotype: CI-FML 3828. Paratypes: ANSP 180781 (6), CI-FML 3829 (4), 3840 (2 c&s): AI 163 (6). Plus non-type material. •Valid as Jenynsia tucumana Aguilera & Mirande 2005 -- (Lucinda et al. 2006:619 [ref. 28893], Koerber 2011:7 [ref. 31122], Aguilera et al. 2013:571 [ref. 32916], Koerber 2014:12 [ref. 33621], Mirande & Koerber 2015:53 [ref. 35117], Aguilera et al. 2019:S1 Appendix [ref. 36817], Huber 2019:16 [ref. 36941]). Current status: Valid as Jenynsia tucumana Aguilera & Mirande 2005. Anablepidae: Anablepinae. Distribution: Upper Salí River basin, northwestern Argentina. Habitat: freshwater.
