C.] in Yano, Ahmed, Gambang, Idris, Solahuddin & Aznan 2005:147, Pls. 92-101 [Sharks and rays of Malaysia and Brunei, Darussalam; ref. 29537] Off Tanjong Sirik, Sarawak, Malaysia, 4°48'N, 109°56'E to 5°19'N, 111°16'E, depth 118-165 meters. Holotype: IK-0002723. Paratypes: IK-0002724 (1), NSMT-P 67617 (1). Plus 2 paratypes and many non-type specimens. Cephaloscyllium is neuter, therefore mandatory change to sarawakense. •Valid as Cephaloscyllium sarawakense Yano, Ahmed & Gambang 2005 (often as sarawakensis) -- (Schaaf-Da Silva & Ebert 2008:25 [ref. 29807], Last el al. 2010:70 [ref. 32461], Clark & Randall 2011:27 [ref. 31133], Ho & Shao 2011:17 [ref. 31432], Nakaya et al. 2013:110 [ref. 33036], Ebert et al. 2013:317 [ref. 33045], Akhilesh et al. 2014:4 [ref. 33217], Dyldin 2015:50 [ref. 34524] as sarawakensis, Weigmann 2016:37 [ref. 34211]). Current status: Valid as Cephaloscyllium sarawakense Yano, Ahmed & Gambang 2005. Scyliorhinidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Malaysia, Taiwan, southern China. Habitat: marine.
