Neotype designated by Fuentes-Fuentes et al. 2022:7 [ref. 40306]. •Valid as Psammobatis scobina (Philippi 1857) -- (McEachran 1983:54 [ref. 5382], Pequeño & Lamilla 1985:247 [ref. 9593], Pequeño 1989:17 [ref. 14125], Lloris & Rucabado 1991:42 [ref. 22530], López et al. 1996:11 [ref. 23681], McEachran & Dunn 1998:286 [ref. 23312], Compagno 1999:489 [ref. 25589], Weigmann 2016:101 [ref. 34211], Last et al. 2016:24 [ref. 34941], Last et al. 2016:463 [ref. 35005], Nión et al. 2016:23 [ref. 35565], Fuentes-Fuentes et al. 2022:7 [ref. 40306]).
