Holotype: MNHN 2011-0012 [ex MHNG 2681.032]. Paratypes: MHNG 2681.058 (2). •Valid as Peckoltia simulata Fisch-Muller & Covain 2012 -- (Armbruster et al. 2015:100 [ref. 33670], Armbruster & Lujan 2016:116 [ref. 34264]). Current status: Valid as Peckoltia simulata Fisch-Muller & Covain 2012. Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: Oyapock River basin, French Guiana. Habitat: freshwater.
