Type catalog: Lima et al. 2023:304 [ref. 40221]. •Valid as Squalus quasimodo Viana, Carvalho & Gomes 2016 -- (Viana et al. 2017:21 [ref. 35600], Pfleger et al. 2018:111 [ref. 36011], Ehemann et al. 2019:[5] [ref. 36861], Carvalho-Filho 2023:293 [ref. 40480]). Current status: Valid as Squalus quasimodo Viana, Carvalho & Gomes 2016. Squalidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: Venezuela (Caribbean Sea) south to northern Argentina. Habitat: marine.
