Type catalog: Weber 1998:11 [ref. 32707]. •Valid as Rivulus elongatus Fels & de Rham 1981 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:19 [ref. 9708], Huber 1992:193 [ref. 20639], Lazara 2001:274 [ref. 25711], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:536 [ref. 27061], Costa 2006:139 [ref. 28875] in subgenus Cynodonichthys, Barriga Salazar 2014:117 [ref. 35745]). •Valid as Anablepsoides elongatus (Fels & de Rham 1981) -- (Costa 2011:243 [ref. 31655], Costa 2013:346 [ref. 32528], Nielsen et al. 2016:70 [ref. 34406], Nielsen 2016:166 [ref. 34861], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:101 [ref. 35633], Valdesalici & Gil 2019:152 [ref. 37074]). Current status: Valid as Anablepsoides elongatus (Fels & de Rham 1981). Rivulidae: Rivulinae. Distribution: Upper Amazon basin: Ecuador, Peru and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
