Current status: Valid as Apogon posterofasciatus Allen & Randall 2002. Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Flores (Indonesia) east to Fiji, north to Philippines, south to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
