jordani, Agonomalus Jordan [D. S.] & Starks [E. C.] 1904:581, Fig. 3 [Proceedings of the United States National Museum v. 27 (no. 1365); ref. 10665] Shiraoi, Hokkaido, Japan. Syntypes: CAS-SU 7731 (1, described syntype, missing), CAS-SU 7940 (3); USNM 51444 (1). Probably dates to Jordan & Starks 1904 (23 Feb.) as above, also in Schmidt (Oct.) 1904:130, Pl. 3 (figs. 1a-d) [ref. 3946]. Types are Jordan's specimens; Schmidt's specimens are ZISP 12865-69. •Valid as Hypsagonus jordani (Jordan & Starks 1904) -- (Kanayama 1991:23 [ref. 19261], Sokolovskaya et al. 1998:10 [ref. 24670], Nakabo 2000:660 [ref. 25086] with author as Schmidt, Nakabo 2002:660 [ref. 26001] with author as Schmidt, Choi et al. 2003:272, 580 [ref. 26218] with author as Schmidt). •Valid as Agonomalus jordani Jordan & Starks 1904 -- (Kanayama in Masuda et al. 1984:331 [ref. 6441], Lindberg & Krasyukova 1987:287 [ref. 15964], Maeda & Amaoka 1988:62 [ref. 12616], Sheiko 1993:67 [ref. 21227], Parin et al. 2002:S95 [ref. 28300], Sheiko & Mecklenburg 2004:2 [ref. 27591], Sheiko & Fedorov 2010:8 [ref. 38118], Parin et al. 2014:283 [ref. 33547], Dyldin et al. 2021:73 [ref. 38804], Dyldin & Orlov 2022:60 [ref. 38972]). Current status: Valid as Agonomalus jordani Jordan & Starks 1904. Agonidae: Hypsagoninae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific: southern Okhotsk Sea to southern Japan Sea and Pacific coast of northern Japan. Habitat: marine.
