Paratypes: AMS I.29785-001 (2); ANSP 165111 (5); CAS 36858 (2), 36860 (10), 36868 (1), 36871 (1), 36873-74 (2, 1); USNM 306882 (2). •Valid as Pleurosicya carolinensis Larson 1990 -- (Myers 1999:258 [ref. 23965], Larson & Murdy 2001:3599 [ref. 26293], Shibukawa et al. in Kimura & Matsuura 2003:189 [ref. 27510], Greenfield & Randall 2004:536 [ref. 28175], Allen & Erdmann 2012:905 [ref. 31980], Parenti 2021:211 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Pleurosicya carolinensis Larson 1990. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines and western Caroline Islands (Federated States of Micronesia).
