Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:135 [ref. 12291]. Originally as terrae-novae, correction mandatory. See Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2003:11 [ref. 27295] for comments on status. •Synonym of Eumicrotremus andriashevi Perminov 1936 -- (Lindberg & Legeza 1955:408 [ref. 2785]). •Valid as Eumicrotremus terraenovae Myers & Böhlke 1950 -- (Ueno 1970:162 [ref. 26199], McAllister 1990:208 [ref. 14674], Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2003:11 [ref. 27295], Nelson et al. 2004:124 [ref. 27807], Page et al. 2013:127 [ref. 32708], Mecklenburg et al. 2016:126 [ref. 34440], Oku et al. 2017:55 [ref. 35060]). Current status: Valid as Eumicrotremus terraenovae Myers & Böhlke 1950. Cyclopteridae: Eumicrotreminae. Distribution: Western North Atlantic: off Newfoundland and in Gulf of Maine. Habitat: marine.
