Paratypes: CAS 34533 (1), 34609 (1); FAKU 25140 (1), 27870 (1); HUJ F16983 (1). Other material: MNHN 1979-0042 (1), 1979-0043 (1), 1979-0045 (1). Type catalog: Golani 2006:22 [ref. 28840] with genus as Bathyconger and species as baranesii. •Valid as Bathycongrus baranesi Ben-Tuvia 1993 -- (Nakabo 2000:232 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:232 [ref. 26001]). •Synonym of Bathycongrus wallacei (Castle 1968) -- (Castle & Smith 1999:993 [ref. 25141], Karmovskaya & Smith 2008:35 [ref. 29972], Karmovskaya 2009:146 [ref. 30319]). •In part (2 paratypes) a synonym of Bathycongrus guttulatis (Günther 1887) -- (Karmovskaya 2009:140 [ref. 30139]). Current status: Synonym of Bathycongrus wallacei (Castle 1968). Congridae: Congrinae. Habitat: marine. | ||
