Current status: Valid as Ophthalmolebias constanciae (Myers 1942). Cynolebiidae: Cynolebiinae. Distribution: Coastal plains adjacent to lower rio São João, Atlantic coastal drainage, southeastern Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
