Original genus is correctly Chaetostoma. •Valid as Chaetostoma pearsei Eigenmann 1920 -- (Isbrücker 1980:63 [ref. 2303], Burgess 1989:436 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 2001:26 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:13 [ref. 27178], Fisch-Muller in Reis et al. 2003:382 [ref. 27061], Salcedo 2006:218 [ref. 28842], Ferraris 2007:230 [ref. 29155], Lujan et al. 2015:666 [ref. 33975]).
