Current status: Valid as Lythrypnus rhizophora (Heller & Snodgrass 1903). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Cocos Island (Costa Rica), Galapágos Islands (Ecuador) and other offshore islands. Habitat: marine.
