Lectotype selected by Böhlke 1953:115 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Gobiopterus panayensis (Herre 1944) -- (Larson in Randall & Lim 2000:638 [ref. 25122], Larson & Murdy 2001:3601 [ref. 26293], Larson et al. 2008:142 [ref. 29532], Shibukawa 2009:277 [ref. 30449], Kottelat 2013:410 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Gobiopterus panayensis (Herre 1944). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Philippines and Singapore. Habitat: marine.
