Holotype: CAS 47433 [ex IU 13871]. Paratypes: ANSP 92433 (1); BMNH 1920.12.20.149-150 [from Eigenman] (2?); CAS 47431-32 [ex IU 13869-70] (6, 9), 47435 [ex IU 13871] (11) 47436 [ex IU 13868] (11); ?CM 7485, ?7486, ?7487; FMNH 58483-84 (3, 5), 69728 (16); UMMZ 55006 (6). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:83 [ref. 12367], Böhlke 1984:23 [ref. 13621]. •Valid as Atherinella colombiensis (Hubbs 1920) -- (Chernoff 1986:241 [ref. 5847], Dyer in Reis et al. 2003:516 [ref. 27061]). Current status: Valid as Atherinella colombiensis (Hubbs 1920). Atherinopsidae: Menidiinae. Distribution: (Pacific slope) Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
