Paratypes: CAS-SU 35056 (14, now 13), 35057 (1), 35058 (6, now 5), 35059 (1); USNM 130634 [ex CAS-SU 35056] (1); ZMA 111423-24 [ex SU] (1, 1). Current status: Valid as Corydoras septentrionalis Gosline 1940. Callichthyidae: Corydoradinae. Distribution: Orinoco River basin: Colombia and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
