Phylogeny of Nudibranchia
  Dendranotacea
DENDRONOTACEA

This group is most noted for some characteristic external features. The most notable is the sheath around the rhinophore, which is raised and sometimes very elaborate. The head has an oral veil and the mantle skirt is usually absent. Sometimes the mantle is very reduced and has a series of cerata along the sides of the body. These cerata can also be very elaborate. Some members of this group such as Bornella anguilla Johnson, 1985 are quite brightly colored with a complex pattern. Other species such as Doto ussi Ortea, 1982 are very cryptic when found on their prey.
