The African Emergence and Early Asian Dispersals of the Genus Homo Larick, Roy and Russell L. Ciochon

http://www.amsci.org/amsci/articles/96articles/Larick.html

Recent excavations of Asia revealed fossil evidence placing hominids there about 2 million years ago, 1 million years earlier than previously thought. The authors propose that the circumstances in which the earliest hominids started to migrate to other continents resulted with a new genus with its almost immediate migration.

Chimpanzee Hunting Behavior and Human Evolution Stanford, Craig B.

http://www.sigmaxi.org/amsci/articles/95articles/Stanford-full.html

"Of all the higher primates, only human beings and chimpanzees hunt and eat meat on a regular basis. The similarities pose an intriguing prospect: Might the close evolutionary relationship between chimpanzees and human beings provide some clues to the evolution of our own behavior?"

Guided Tour of Hominid Evolution

http://www.hunterian.gla.ac.uk/museum/hominid/hominid.html

If men and apes have a common ancestor, as claimed by the theory of evolution, there should once have been primates showing features of both. Fossil remains of such a group, dating from about twenty-two to ten million years ago, in Miocene times, are known from Europe, Asia and Africa.
