Trinity Alps Wilderness

This gives a great overview of the area.  It talks of the Green (westernmost) Trinities, the Red Trinities (central area with lots of iron ore) and White Trinities (nearest to Redding, and the best known).  Links to information about trails.

 

Trinity Alps Wilderness

The United States Congress designated the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area in 1984 and it now has a total of 502,764 acres.  Basic information is provided at this site.

 

Trinity County Driving Tours and Scenic Byways

The USDA Forest Service: Trinity County currently has two Scenic Byways, the Trinity Scenic Byway which follows Highway 299, and the Siskiyou-Trinity Scenic Byway along Highway 3.  Route information and a few highlights are included.
