Current status: Valid as Aulopus chirichignoae Béarez, Zavalaga & Miranda 2024. Aulopidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Ecuador to northern Peru, possibly extended to oceanic islands in the Eastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
