Holotype: UNS 00762. Paratypes: UF 249109 (5), UNS 2013-19-01 (5). •Valid as Poropuntius anlaoensis Hoàng, Phạm & Trần 2024. Current status: Valid as Poropuntius anlaoensis Hoàng, Phạm & Trần 2024. Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: southern Annam ecoregion and possibly endemic to the coastal side of the Annamite Cordillera, Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
