Bontah Russ. is Russell 1803: 64, Pl. 181 [ref. 13862] which is clear from Bleeker 1857:336 [ref. 16868]. •Synonym of Liza tade (Forsskål 1775) -- (Thomson 1997:535 [ref. 23428], Kottelat 2013:278 [ref. 32989]). •Synonym of Chelon planiceps (Valenciennes 1836) based on placement of tade. •Synonym of Moolgarda tade (Fabricius 1775).
