Holotype: ZSI/MBRC F-3296. Paratypes: ZSI/MBRC F-3297 (1), F-3298 (1), F-3299 (1). •Valid as Apristurus drona Beura & Bineesh 2026. Current status: Valid as Apristurus drona Beura & Bineesh 2026. Pentanchidae. Distribution: Northwestern Indian Ocean: continental slope off Kollam and Wadge Bank, southeastern Arabian Sea. Habitat: marine.
