Description	Adult waist-length rain cape woven in one piece with multiple layers of overlapping palm fibers that are stitched together (inner and outer layers are stitched separately) with parallel and evenly spaced horizontal rows of cordage made from the same palm fiber; Construction of the cape begins at the neck where the thickest part of the palm fibers are overlapped to form a very thick and stiff collar; From there the fibers radiate out and downward; Main portion of cape comprises the entire back, which blends into the shoulders and forms very wide, open sleeves on front; Two large flaps hang down the front, with the top of each flap separated from the sleeve to provide for ventilation, and the lower portion of each flap seamed to the lower portion of the back panel; Left front panel has a length of cordage tied into a knot or button, corresponding to a fiber loop on the right front panel; Horizontal stitching is more closely spaced around the uppermost 9 cm (around collar) for added structural strength and for decorative purposes; Heavy plied fiber loop is attached at top just behind collar to hang cape for drying or when not in use.
