Plain iron blade with copper alloy handle; Handle is decorated in floral pattern that is painted in multiple colors; From BRL 1982: “Table Knife, possibly English; Wrought hollow, copper alloy handle, assembled in two halves; Chased with elaborate design that were filled with white, blue, and red-violet enamel; Straight bolstered blade with remains of a touchmark; Note: Bailey fig. 54 says this type of work may be 17th century English, handle shape may be German; A nice piece.†|

Two-tined steel fork with antler handle that is encased by brass that has interwoven lines etched in it; The antler has inlays of two brass diamonds, 16 ivory flowers (?), and a silver pitcher on each side; From BRL 1982: “Fork, Bavaria or Austria; Handle: late 17th or 18th century; Engraved brass wrapped horn handle inlaid with bone and engraved brass ornaments, two in the form of pitchers; Very fine handle; Tines appear to be a replacement - much too crude for the handle; Compare CAS 0389-1832.†|

(sic); 3) bowl of fruit or flowers (?) (sic); 4) ‘WARD’ - WARD is a Sheffield name, e.g., John Ward was master of Sheffield Guild in 1732." |
