Description Two-tined skewer fork with black bone handle that has metal three rosettes on it, the handle also has two sets of parallel lines running vertically on both sides from proximal to distal ends, the proximal end has a rounded metal cap that has etched scroll work on it; The skewer proximal end has a ring decorative design; From BRL 1982: “Marrow fork; Bavaria, early to mid 19th century; From a trousse; Dark horn (?) (sic) handle; Nickel silver (?) (sic) overlaid butt with engraving; Nickel silver (?) (sic) pinned on ornaments; Screw threaded bolster indicates this once had a sharpening steel over the fork, now missing, as on CAS 0389-1863.”
