Description Deep round basket with flat base and sides that flare outward and rise to a high shoulder, then curve inward forming a wide mouth; Basket is woven in coiled technique over small bundle coils; Warp fibers are galleta grass stems and weft fibers are finely split natural and vegetal dyed yucca leaves; Design consist of 3 bands; Upper and lower bands contain 7 and 6 terraced triangles, respectively, alternating in yellow and rust brown colors (one triangle in upper band is half yellow and half rust brown, to balance design) and each is outlined along terraced edges in black; Design around mid-section consists of black terraced zigzag line, with a terraced concentric yellow and rust brown triangle with black pendant lines (representing falling rain) filling every other triangular space below the line, all on a natural sun bleached background and bordered above and below by a solid black framing line.

Description Shallow round basket with flat base and flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle coils; Small yucca-wrapped suspension loop is woven into the 3rd from the last coil on the reverse; Warp material is galleta grass stems and weft material is natural and aniline dyed split yucca leaves; Design is that of a Navajo wedding basket and consists of a negative 9 point star in center, encircled by a solid red band, all on a black background, with a band of pendant terraced black triangles around the top; one arm of the central star extends through the various design bands all the way to the rim, representing the "spirit line"; NOTE: location of the suspension loop would result in displaying this design upside down by Navajo traditions.

Description Deep round sifter basket with somewhat rounded base and rounded sides, rising to a wide mouth; Basket is woven entirely in plaited technique; Warp and weft material is split yucca leaves; Warps and wefts are arranged in groups of 3, and plaiting proceeds in an over 3/under 3 (groups of warps/wefts) pattern, resulting in a design of concentric diamonds; Exterior side of split yucca leaves is turned toward interior for both warps and wefts, while exterior surface is turned toward exterior of basket; At the rim, both the warp and weft fibers are folded over a single heavy wooden stem that has been bent to form a continuous ring, and then stitched to themselves using a single row of yucca leaves in a twining technique; Ends of warps and wefts are trimmed approximately 3.5 cm below the twined row.
