Description | Round nearly flat wall plaque, woven entirely in coiled technique over small bundle coils; Warp material is galleta grass stems and weft material is natural and vegetal dyed yucca leaves; Small coil-wrapped loop for hanging plaque on wall is woven into final rim coil on reverse; Floral (sunflower?) design consists of circular band with alternating blocks of red and yellow color, edged on interior and exterior in black; Pendant from band and extending out to rim are 14 leaf-shaped petals whose color sequence is red, plain (undyed), and yellow; Each petal is edged in black. | |
