Description Oval concho hammered from flat silver sheet; Center of concho is slightly domed and stamped with diamond shape in center; Series of die-stamped straight lines radiate out from central diamond to edge of domed area; Series of crescents are die stamped along scalloped outer edge of concho and are accented by small die stamped circle where adjacent crescents overlap; Copper bar for attaching concho to belt is soldered to back; Concho is unsigned. John Adair identified this as a modern copy (1930s-1940s) of an old style design from the 1890s or early 1900s.

Description Loom beaded belt; At the "buckle" is a piece of leather to which snaps have been affixed and another narrow band of leather through which to loop the belt; The other end is tapered to a point; The decoration, a white background and green geometric designs, consists of alternating motifs; The first is columns of stacked isosceles triangles; The other consists of a star-shaped pattern; The entire band is bordered in green.

Description Beaded collar constructed in vertical bead netting technique; Foundation cord is beaded with sky blue and red beads, while the body is beaded of smaller navy blue beads in a pattern of alternating hourglass and diamond motifs on white background; Diamond motifs also incorporate yellow beads for accent; Outer edge of collar ends in beaded loop fringes, each incorporating one large sky blue bead; Ends of collar are not joined; Width of collar suggests its use by a young girl.

Description Flat eye glass case or wallet, woven in two sections which fit one inside the other; Warp and weft material is rye grass stems; Base of each section is round but is then folded in half and flattened so completed basket is rectangular with convex ends; Each section is woven in alternating closed plain twined and open plain twined bands, the latter with exposed, crossed warps; Designs on closed plain twined bands consist of a band of floral motifs, except on the first and last rows which have a band of contiguous triangles.

Attributed in November 1978 by Eleanor Begay (Kenneth Begay’s wife) as “probably her husband’s work.”
