Description Luggage tag made from flat rectangular silver sheet; Single hole is cut near one short end to attach tag to suitcase; Pair of parallel lines is stamped along each long edge on one face of tag; "Mrs. Charles DeY Elkus Sr. 1010 Francisco St. San Francisco California 94109" is stamped on face of tag; Tag is unsigned by artist but is stamped on reverse with hallmark of Navajo hogan (White Hogan Shop, Scottsdale, AZ) and the words "Hand Made Sterling." Attributed in November 1978 by Eleanor Begay (Kenneth Begay’s wife) as “probably her husband’s work.”

Description Pair of leg rattles constructed of African wild silk moth (Gonometa postica) cocoons strung together; The cocoons are partially split lengthwise and the grubs are removed; Holes are pierced transversely on the split side in two places near either end and two thin thongs of leather are threaded through the holes; A few fragments of ostrich egg shell are places inside each cocoon, and the whole allowed to dry; In performance each dancer wears a pair wound around his legs and fastened securely; Normally used by men, women may use them when dancing alone.

Description Small handheld rattle made from peeled stick that is bent to form a small circular hoop and is loosely coil-wrapped with sinew and dyed (black) plant fiber, possibly spruce or conifer root; Peeled cedar stick is lashed across center of hoop to form a cross brace and/or handhold and is also loosely wrapped in dyed (black and red) plant fiber, similar to hoop; Attached to hoop by means of leather thong and sinew are four deer or antelope toe bones, twelve sections of deer or antelope hooves, and one larger deer or antelope (?) bone.
