Description Small handheld rattle made from peeled stick that is bent to form a small circular hoop and is loosely coil-wrapped with sinew and dyed (black) plant fiber, possibly spruce or conifer root; Peeled cedar stick is lashed across center of hoop to form a cross brace and/or handhold and is also loosely wrapped in dyed (black and red) plant fiber, similar to hoop; Attached to hoop by means of leather thong and sinew are four deer or antelope toe bones, twelve sections of deer or antelope hooves, and one larger deer or antelope (?) bone.
