Elongated basket in the form of an alligator in walking position, woven entirely in open-spaced coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is pine needles and primary weft material is undyed raffia grass leaves; Alligator's body is oval-shaped and constitutes the actual "basket" with a flat base and vertical sides; Separate open-ended (at one end only) oval shaped basket is attached to one end of body in inverted position to form the animal's tail; Two separate and very shallow, open-ended (on one end only) are also attached to opposite end of the body, forming the head and hinged jaws of the alligator; Four separate coil-wrapped legs and feet are attached to sides of the body; Separate oval lid with interior lip fits into back cavity of alligator's body; Upper side of neck, body (including lid), and tail are covered with overlapping individual pine cone scales to represent the alligator's skin texture; Eyes and interior of mouth are woven of dyed red raffia grass leaves. |

Effigy basket in the form of a crab; Oval body has flat base and rounded sides that curve inward at the rim; Corresponding oval lid has interior lip that fits inside mouth of basket; Both basket and lid are woven in open coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is pine needles and primary weft material is undyed raffia grass leaves; Appended tail, 8 legs (4 legs on each side), and pair of large claws on front are all wrapped in dyed red raffia leaves; Eyes and antennae on front are made of dyed black raffia leaves; Top of lid is decorated with dyed red raffia fibers woven in overstitch technique. |

Effigy basket in the form of a turkey, whose hollow, oval body has a flat base and rounded sides that curve inward toward the rim; Corresponding oval lid is slightly rounded and has interior lip that fits inside basket's mouth; Both basket and lid are woven in open coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is pine needles and primary weft material is undyed raffia grass leaves; Turkey’s neck and head are fashioned from pine needle bundle that is coil-wrapped; Eyes are woven of dyed black raffia leaves; Tail is fashioned from lengths of raffia leaves that are looped through coils and extend out as fringe; Body is supported on pine needle bundle secured to underside, whose two ends are bent down to form the legs and the ends splayed to form 4 toes each, and all are coil-wrapped and secured to an oval coiled base. |
