Lela and Van Gutierrez were husband and wife and the parents of Margaret and Luther Gutierrez and the grandparents of Paul Gutierrez and his wife Dorothy Gutierrez, all of whose work is also represented in the CAS pottery collection.

Description Round stoneware, wheel-thrown jar with flat base and vertical sides that rise to a well-defined, rounded shoulder with an inverted rim and wide mouth; Round saucer-shaped lid with lip that fits inside mouth of jar is surmounted by deep, round bowl with flaring sides; Interior of jar and underside (lip only) of lid are glazed dark brown; Exterior of both jar and lid are unglazed and unslipped and decorated with all-over incised lines, producing geometric pattern of ridges; Signature "Charles Loloma 53" is incised on base of jar.

Description Round olla-shaped jar with flat, small diameter base, sides that flare upward to a high rounded shoulder, then curve inward before rising to form a short neck, and a wide mouth; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and covered with red slip; Wide band on exterior extending from rim down to just above underbody is slipped white and its upper and lower limits are edged in black; Band of contiguous red triangles outlined in black encircles rim; Geometric motif consisting of two large "E" shapes (1 pointing left, 1 pointing right) with open triangle between them is repeated 4 times around mid-section of jar; Jar is unsigned, but was possibly made by Eudora Montoya as a demonstration piece for Dr. Florence Hawley Ellis, a noted archaeologist in New Mexico who supported Montoya's pottery making over a period of many years.

Description Round jar with flat base, flaring lower sides, high shoulder, and short neck; Rim form is slightly everted with rounded lip; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; Exterior is burnished; Interior of rim and rectangular area around mouth are painted red; 4 painted black bat wing patterns are pendant from red rectangular area that encircles and overlaps rim; Overall design is framed below by wide black line; Signature "Fannie Nampeyo" is painted in black block letters on base. Fannie Polacca Nampeyo was the daughter of Nampeyo, the mother of Elva Nampeyo, Tonita Hamilton and Iris Youvella Nampeyo, the aunt of Rachel Namingha Nampeyo, and the grandmother of Adelle Lalo Nampeyo, Carla Claw Nampeyo and Wallace Youvella, Jr., all of whose works are also represented in the CAS pottery collection.

Noted Acoma potter Lucy Martin Lewis is the mother of grandmother of many well-known potters. She is the mother of Anne Lewis Hansen and the mother-in-law of Rita Lewis, both of whose works are also represented in the CAS pottery
