Description | Panpipes made from 10 hollowed sections of bamboo stems of graduated lengths, all laid side by side and twined together plant fibers; The lower end of each bamboo stem is plugged with black pitch-like substance and entire exterior of panpipes is blackened; Longest stem holds the key note, with each succeeding stem a bit shorter to produce a slightly higher note. | |
