Description Large, deep round basket with flat base and slightly flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is bear grass stems and primary weft material is split sun bleached yucca leaves; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and consist of 4 large gila monster figures with striped bodies and outstretched feet, whose images extend the entire height of the basket; Between adjacent gila monster figures is a vertical column of stacked crosses; Rim coil is decorated with diagonal overstitch of devil's claw.
