Description Large round basket with flat base, rounded sides, and wide shoulder that slopes inward to a wide mouth; Corresponding doomed lid has short lip and small, flat-topped knob handle; Both basket and lid are woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is rye grass stems and weft material is rye grass leaves; Designs are woven of imbrication technique, using black sea mammal skin and dyed (?) brown sea mammal intestine; Designs consist of seven vertical columns of four crosses each on sides of basket, 8 small crosses on lid, and continuous ribbon-beaded band around outer edge of lid.
