| Description | Pair of fired clay pot rests modeled in the form of a stylized humanoid head, representing a mythological being named Moran; These rests are used in pairs or groups of three to support cooking pots over an open fire; Each head sports a projecting nose and mouth, bulging eyes with slits in them, protuberances on the cheeks and forehead, and a pair of flaring horn-like appendages at top, all supported on a flaring base; Front and back of head are decorated with shallowly incised designs. | |
