| Description | Large round shallow basket with flat base and widely flaring sides, woven in coiling technique over bundle foundation (on inner coils) and rod foundation (on outer coils); Warp material is probably sumac shoots and primary weft material is bleached yucca leaves; Designs are woven of unbleached yellow yucca leaves and consist of 4 triangles at cardinal directions in center of basket, enclosed within terraced rectangle whose corners touch the rim; 4 terraced triangles that are pendant from rim fill in spaces outside the terraced rectangle. | |
