Description Rectangular Chinle-style rug woven entirely in plain, weft-faced tapestry technique with non-interlocking joins; Design consists of 3 bands that each contain a row of contiguous concentric serrated diamonds in rose, navy blue, white, and maroon on a mauve background, alternating with four plainer bands; Of the four plainer bands, the outermost one at either end has a decorative mauve and navy blue band in center that is woven in Crystal technique, flanked by plain rose, white and navy blue bands, while the 2 remaining plainer bands show the same decorative mauve and navy blue center band, but it is flanked by a rose and white band and a navy blue and mauve band, both woven in the beading technique; Selvage and end cords are all mauve. Compare this rug with CAS 2013-0004-0002, another rug by Ella Yazzie and whose design is identical.
