Rectangular Two Grey Hills style rug woven entirely in plain weft-faced tapestry technique with interlocking joins; Geometric design includes a large double composite and concentric diamond in the center in colors of medium brown, white, black, and darker gray-brown, all outlined in a open network of black with light and medium brown terraced triangles at each turn; Large triangle comprising several concentric triangles in similar colors and design fills each corner of the rug, all of which are woven on a very light gray background; Triple border in white, medium gray, and black frames rug along all four edges; Inner white and light gray borders show reciprocating pattern of terraced triangles along sides, while their edges are straight along the ends; Outermost black border is straight edged along all four edges except for series of short rectangular projections along the sides, pointing toward center of rug; Light gray spirit line extends from light gray background across all three borders in one corner of rug; Selvage and end cords are light gray. |
