Description | Round globose basket with flat base and rounded sides; Coiled on bundle foundation; Designs are in dyed bracken fern roots and redbud and consist of column of flower, butterfly, and eagle, all repeated 4 times and alternating with tall flowering plant motif; Basket may have originally had a flat, ?snap-on? lid, as Lucy Telles wove many baskets of this shape and with similar designs, some of which had accompanying lids. | |
