| Description | Mold-pressed, Darom style oil lamp with squat, round reservoir with small round opening at top and wide, constricted wick spout extending out from one side; Top of reservoir and wick spout are decorated with grapevine motif thought to represent clusters of grapes from the Second Temple prior to its destruction by the Romans; Lamps of this type and design were common in Israel in the Hebron hills following the destruction of the Second Temple. | |
