Description Man's open-front vest whose front panels and neckline are constructed of deer (?) skin panels whose edges are folded under and lined on interior with dark brown commercial cloth; Same cloth makes up back portion of vest; Right side of vest includes one pocket and left side includes two pockets; Pair of cloth ties are sewn to back of vest; Folded leather edges are machine sewn, while leather and backing are sewn together by hand; 6 round brass buttons are sewn along edge of right side of vest, corresponding to 6 button holes along left side; Elaborate vine motif with numerous leaves and flowers is embroidered along inner edges of vest and extending up around neck line; Embroidery is in colors of red, green, chartreuse, gray-brown, and three shades of blue.
