| Description | Tall, round, wheel-thrown jar mounted on a small pedestal base; Jar itself has a squat, spherical lower body with rounded sides with the maximum diameter at their midpoint, then rise to form a tall slightly flaring neck with a rounded lip; Single coiled handle is attached vertically at mid-level height of neck and to upper side of shoulder; Pedestal base was probably made separately and then attached to base of jar; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped smooth, although a series of ridges are still evident on the interior of the neck; Overall color is gray, with no indication of any painted designs or other decorations. | |
