Description | Two parallel tines with a step type decoration where they attach to the shaft, the handle has a geometric design near tines and then encases two pieces of antler with two metal bosses on each attaching antlers to handle; From BRL 1982: “Fork, Bavaria, mid to late 19th century; Silver plated brass handle inlaid with stag horn panels, plated medallions pinned to stag; Medieval style straight two tine fork; Part of a trousse (personal set in scabbard); Fits scabbard CAS 0389-1985, but may not be original to it; Similar to knife CAS 0389-1982, but not a match.” | |
