Campylodiscus Ehrenberg

Description

Frustules biraphid, circular to elliptical in outline, cells bent so as to be saddle-shaped. May appear narrowly D-shaped, depending on the lie of the valve. Raphe elevated above margin in a wing supported by ribs which are arranged radially. Multiseriate striae alternate with ribs, puncta not resolved.
