Hantzschia Grunow

Description

Frustules biraphid, valves asymmetrical to apical axis, symmetrical to the transapical axis, linear to linear-lanceolate in shape with protracted to capitate apices. Frustules with raphe system marginal, on same side in both valves. Fibulae distinct, striae with fine puncta.
