| Comments | Lectotypification by monotypification. Comments: Two species in original publication: C. frauenfeldii and C. lorenzii, no type originally designated. Van Heurck 1896 (ref. 000897), p. 346, states: "Cl. frauenfeldii appears to be only a variety of Cl. lorenzii", and also states that "Cl. frauenfeldii is nothing else than Stictodesmis australis Grev." Van Heurck's statements constitute lectotypification of the genus (by monotypification). Farr et al. (1979) p. 385 incorrectly give C. frauenfeldii as the lectotype. Similarly, Round, Crawford & Mann (1990), p. 868, indicate that C. frauenfeldii and C. lorenzii are synonyms and give C. frauenfeldii as the type. Correction appears in ING (1996) and Greuter et al. 1993 (ref. 006911), p. 249 who indicate that C. lorenzii is the type. |
