Kittonia was lectotypified with K. elaborata by Lefébure & Chenevière 1939, p. 23, by the statement: "Ce genre créé par Grove et Sturt 1887 pour la Kittonia elaborata...". If Lefébure and Chenevière's lectotypification is considered not acceptable, then the place of lectotypification would be Brigger & Hanna 1965, p. 1 (ref. 003537), where the authors use the word "genotype" for K. elaborata. |
